🚧 Greenbank Road Realignment Update. What You Need to Know!

Big changes are coming to our community! Following the recent information session, here’s a quick summary of what’s ahead for Greenbank Road and the Southwest Transitway Extension:

✔️ A realigned four-lane arterial roadway
✔️ Dedicated Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) running through the centre
✔️ New pedestrian & cycling facilities with protected intersections
✔️ Phase 1 construction starting Spring 2026 (completion expected 2027)
✔️ Phase 2a confirmed: a new 6-lane bridge over the Jock River, starting Spring 2027

This project will improve traffic flow, transit access, and connectivity across Riverboat Heights, Cambrian, Marketplace, and beyond. A major infrastructure investment in Ottawa’s south end.
